The Structure: Build the Guts of Your Story

Of course, there is no limit to creativity. But every story needs structure, and a children’s picture book is no different. Using excerpts from the picture book, "Scary, Scary Sasha," this course simply breaks down five important elements a children’s picture book needs and shows how they can be incorporated into your story. With this course, you will: - Create a character study for your main character - Identify the conflict and resolution in your story - Research the best setting(s) for your story - Create the opening line for your story - Assess the readability of a published children’s picture book Plus, you'll get to put all of this into practice with some assignments (required) that'll help you stay focused on your story. What You'll Need: - Pen - Notebook - An open, creative mindset So, are you ready?
